When Should I Run? ("WSIR") is a simple weather‑aware running companion. We designed it to respect your privacy by collecting as little data as possible.
We do not collect, sell, or share personal data. We do not create accounts, track you across apps or websites, or use third‑party analytics/advertising SDKs.
WSIR requests your device location solely to determine local weather and compute recommended running windows. Location is processed on your device and transmitted only to retrieve a forecast. We do not store your location on our servers.
To display weather, the app sends your latitude/longitude to our weather service (either directly or through a lightweight proxy we operate) for the purpose of fetching a forecast. We do not retain this data after fulfilling the request. Like most internet services, transient technical data such as your IP address may appear in short‑lived server logs used for abuse prevention and reliability; these are not used to track you and are automatically purged periodically.
Daily reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. We do not collect push tokens, and no third‑party messaging provider is used.
WSIR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
WSIR may query a weather provider to obtain forecast data. Those providers may receive your latitude/longitude coordinates solely to return the weather.
We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect any data in transit. Because we don’t store customer profiles, there is no data warehouse to compromise.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
